O doce sabor da melancolia facilmente se confunde no espírito com a profundidade de uma respiração candente, ou seja, (pres)sente-se como substância, mescla de gases e energia.

Uma vez que trabalha na mente, corre-se o risco do não reconhecimento imediato ou da confusão entre os estados físicos em causa. Mais ou menos assim: sim, roça no paladar e  (é)  sólido e  (é)  suave e pouco denso e sabe a algodão doce, e parece algodão doce.

Mas mesmo o sólido de baixa densidade torna a respiração impraticável. E a doçura não suaviza a opressão da asfixia.

A melancolia, não raras vezes, começa por ser melíflua (o que, nas condições ideais / desejáveis, quer dizer bela), especialmente na mente expedita, porém só é benéfica nas seguintes condições, não necessariamente mutuamente exclusivas:

(Pelo prático) se for assumida com responsabilidade;

(Pelo sonhador) se for aceite sobretudo no limite das suas consequências.
